Ćmielów Design Studio has been operating since 2013 under the leadership of Marek Cecuła, artistic director of the Ćmielów manufacture. Extraordinary, innovative educational and artistic projects are created in this creative space. Creative space is open to cooperation with artists and designers. Work gives you the opportunity to experiment, polish your artistic workshop and create your own collections that have the chance to join the offer of Polish Porcelain Factories.

Ćmielów Design Studio is open to cooperation with artists, architects and designers who want to develop their ideas for ceramic constructions and forms. The combination of over two hundred years of experience in the production of porcelain collections with the latest design trends means that the studio has the ambition to create an offer that will compete on European and global markets. The studio’s idea is also to initiate the “art for industry” movement, i.e. to make the designers aware of the important role in the process of creating an industrial product. To become a resident, you must submit a project that you will implement in cooperation with Ćmielów Design Studio. We reserve, however, that we accept projects whose implementation will be possible in industrial conditions. The minimum period of residency is 1 month. A residency application should include: • Biography; • Portfolio of your previous work (5-10 photos of your own completed projects); • Description of the project you want to implement (description, sketches / visualizations in .pdf format); • All applications submitted will be considered, however we reserve the right to contact only selected candidates. costs The total cost of participation in the Program includes the costs of materials *, accommodation and meals. * Materials – include the use of workspace. Basic materials used in the studio, i.e. white porcelain (approx. PLN 23 / kg), transparent glaze and plaster. The use of other materials such as ceramic stickers, gold pigments, etc. is also possible, but they are available on special order.
